Google Traffic Info in Map Results

Kinda’ surprised it took this long, but Google Maps can now help you if you’re heading out and think you might get stuck in traffic. They’re including traffic light colors to designate “go”, “slow”, and “stop” in over 30 metros.

Minneapolis at 6:00pm  doesn’t look too bad.

…had to check the ol’ stomping grounds of Tacoma at 4:00pm (PST)

All of this doesn’t have as much to do with marketing as it does with myself apparently being a map dork, but I’m ok with that. Really. It’s interesting though, especially for those who commute and have different potential routes.

  1. Paul – great tool! Tomorrow you should post the picture of what 494 here in Minneapolis looked like today at 4pm. With the massive snow falling – that map should be all red!

  2. Paul says:

I should have! Too late now I suppose… heard most businesses sent people home early.

I have to admit, I really wanted to play hooky today and go to Welch. 🙂
